Meet the Teacher
Thank you to all the families who were able to come to our Meet the Teacher evening. It was wonderful to see so many people make time in their busy schedules to be able to join us. It was fun having the book fair and food trucks contribute to a lovely evening. Thank you to the school council for organizing the food trucks. Whether you were able to attend or not, please know that if you ever have questions or concerns about your child’s education, you are always welcome to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Book Fair
A big thank you to all of our families for supporting our Book Fair! It was wonderful to see so much excitement around books and reading. Our students enjoyed browsing the selection and choosing books to take home and enjoy. We also appreciate our librarian Ms. Hope and our parent volunteers who helped make the Book Fair such a great success!
Alien In-line Skating Residency – Return Permission Forms
Just a reminder to return the Acknowledgement of Risk Parent/Guardian Consent forms for our upcoming Alien in-line skating residency. Students will not be able to participate if we do not have their consent form signed and returned. The parent letter and consent forms were sent home with students earlier in the week. Please see the attachments below if you need another copy of the form. Our residency will take place on Oct 1-23. Each class will have 3 sessions of in-line skating. Check the email from your child’s teacher to see their specific skating days. All equipment is provided, but families are encouraged to send their child’s own helmet if they have one. Thank you to our School Council who are covering the cost of this residency.

Truth and Reconciliation Day – Sept 30 – No School
Just a reminder that there is no school on Wednesday, September 30 as this is Truth and Reconciliation Day. If you are looking for ways to engage in this day of recognition see the following links:

Student Patrol Started This Week
Our Grade 5 students started their Student Patrol duties this week! They have been doing an amazing job helping keep our crosswalk safe and supporting students as they arrive at and leave school. We are very proud of our Grade 5 patrollers for demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and care for our school community!
Bussing Communication
If your child rides the bus and you decide they are not to take the bus home on a particular day, we ask that you do the following:
- Same day notice - please call the school at 403-777-6061 for confirmation so that we can update our attendance records
- At least one day's notice - please email your child’s teacher and the school’s email at PanoramaHills@cbe.ab.ca

All upcoming dates can be found on our school website calendar. Below are a few dates that we wanted to make sure you were aware of:
- Sept 29 Orange Shirt Day
- Sept 30 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - No School
- Oct 5 Milk Program begins (note: this start date has changed). Milk cards can be purchased using your MyCBE account
- Oct 1-23 Alien In-line Skating (see email from teachers for specific days)
- Oct 6 Fall Photo Day
- Oct 12 No School – Thanksgiving
- Oct 30 CAD #1 (Note: This date has changed from the original start date)
