Registration at Calgary Board of Education (CBE) schools is not determined on a first come, first served basis. Registration and admission to schools in CBE is governed by the Education Act and Administrative Regulation 6090 | Child and Student Registration and Admission.
Kindergarten Registration & Scheduling Information
When registering for kindergarten, families are asked to indicate their preference for morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) classes. AM and PM placements are determined annually based on enrollment, staffing, and available space. While preferences are considered, placement cannot be guaranteed.
Kindergarten Orientation
A Kindergarten Orientation Session is held in June. Please refer to the school calendar for the exact date. Additional information will be shared with families closer to the session.
Fridays
Fridays are early dismissal days. Kindergarten students (AM or PM) attend school only on assigned Fridays regardless of AM or PM placement.
