Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year at Panorama Hills

We are excited to welcome all of you to the new school year.  We had a great first week. Students were excited to see their teachers and old friends, and they are already developing new friendships.

School Staff - A complete list of our school staff for this year can be found on our Panorama Hills website.  Teacher emails can also be accessed at this site by clicking on the name.

Additional Support
This fall, the CBE has hired hundreds of teachers, education assistants and other school staff to support student learning. These positions have been funded by the Government of Alberta with the intention of addressing classroom complexity and class sizes.

We are pleased to welcome additional new staff to our school for the 2026-27 school year.  This has allowed us to use current staff members to be able to provide additional support. Our additional support team consists of teacher, Brenda Somers, and Education Assistants, Neda Qubaia & Marianna Vazquez-Guzman.

These staff members will help ensure students benefit from increased teacher attention, improved classroom learning environments, and greater support for diverse learning needs.

Parking and Drop Off

Please be aware that parking is not permitted in the bus zone in front of the school.  We have four buses that need this space to drop off bus students.  The Hug and Go area further up in front of the school is a great spot to drop off students - but this is also not a parking area. For safety reasons, the staff parking lot is also not to be used for picking up or dropping off students. The "Parking & Drop-Off" section of our website contains additional traffic safety reminders from the city.

Complete Online Forms by Sep. 14

There are a number of forms that parents/guardians need to complete each year. This includes a demographic verification, and various other annual authorization and consent forms. These can be accessed using your MyCBE account. Please submit these forms  for your child by Monday, Sep. 14. These demographic verification forms are mandatory every year for Alberta Education and Childcare to confirm student funding.

If you have any questions, please contact the office at 403-777-6061. We thank you for completing the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms for the 2026-27 school year.

Community Walks

Please take a moment to review the attached letter regarding walking field trips. The CBE has simplified the process for local field trips within walking distance of the school. A consent form will no longer be required for these trips, such as visits to a nearby park or local community site.

Our school may visit nearby locations such as Panorama Hills Ridge and The Buffalo Rubbing Stone to support classroom learning and provide students with opportunities to explore the local community.

Parents/guardians will receive at least 48 hours’ notice by email when a walking field trip is planned. Please note that common risks, such as street crossings, slips and falls, getting separated from the group, allergies, and other health concerns, may be associated with these trips.

Field Trips Within Walking Distance

Milk Program

The milk program will begin on Thursday, October 1st. Parents can purchase a milk card for 237 ml milk cartons through your child's MyCBE account online or by paying cash at the school office. Milk cartons are handed out during lunch time at school, from Monday to Thursday. Milk card options are 10 milks for $13.00 or 20 milks for $26.

Register for Lunchroom

Registration for Lunch supervision is now open. The form is available in your MyCBE account, please log into your account to access the online registration. The lunch supervision fee applies to any child from grades K-6 in the CBE who stay on school property during the lunch hour. Students in these grades require direct supervision during the lunch hour, regardless of the grade configuration of the school or the mode of transportation the students use to get to and from school each day. This fee is guided by Administrative Regulation 3048 – Noon Services
