Principal's Message

October 16, 2023

Dear PHS Families,

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Paull back. She will now resume the Principal position while I, Ms. Muir, resume as the Assistant Principal.

We had a wonderful first week of inline skating! Please note that our skating schedule runs for several weeks so if your child has not skated yet, their scheduled times have not happened yetWith our inline skating taking place in the gym, regular PE classes have been occurring outsideWe have been fortunate to have great weather for this but ask that you monitor the temperature and send your children to school in appropriate outerwear.

Halloween at PHS

At Panorama Hills, we will be holding our Halloween costume day on Tuesday, October 31. We know that many children celebrate Halloween, and we do allow students to dress up if they wish. Students may wear their costumes to school in the morning and may have them on all day. There are, however, a few guidelines we must follow.

  • Dressing up is completely voluntary. Students may dress up in costumes if they choose, but they do not need to do so. You can also opt to dress in seasonal colors.
  • Halloween is a regular day of learning at school. We are responsible for all instructional time and so we will not be having Halloween parties at school.
  • Due to both CBE elementary nutritional standards, students may not bring snacks or food to share with others, and we ask that candy and treats in lunch boxes be limited.
  • Masks and props, such as weapons, cannot be brought to school. Please choose non-violent costumes, as these often scare our youngest students.

Thank you for your continues support as we partner in your child’s education.

Ms. Muir
