Principal's Message

October 29, 2023

Dear PHS Families,

We want to thank our parents for their casino fundraising efforts. Alien Inline skating was made possible through our last casino funding, and we are very thankful for our parents who made this happen.

Snow Play

The weather has changed, and we want to thank you for ensuring students come each day dressed warmly. Students had a great time engaging in creative play in the snow, building, designing etc. With our Alien Inline skating program, students have spent considerable PE time outside during regular PE time, so we do ask that you continue to encourage your children to dress appropriately. We would also appreciate home conversations regarding appropriate snow play such as:

·         Building forts

·         Making tracks

·         Snow is on shared spaces

·         Shovels and snow molds are provided as a play tools

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Remembrance Day

Each year we look forward to recognizing not only those who served in the past but continue to serve today in order for us to enjoy a safe community and country. As part of our upcoming assembly, the grade 4 team is putting together a slideshow to recognize family members of PHS staff and students who have served in a military capacity for Remembrance Day. If you have a service member, past or present, and would like them to be included in the slideshow on November 8th please complete the form and include an image by November 3rd.
