Principal Message

October 9, 2023

Dear PHS Families,

I hope you have all enjoyed the long weekend and time with your families!

At school, many classes were focused on gratitude and giving thanks as a way of recognizing Thanksgiving. In keeping with our overarching question of “What is our impact?”, students engaged in reflection about what they're grateful for to experience greater happiness and positive emotions as identified through the Harvard Medical School:

“In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships”. Harvard Health Publishing, August 2021

We continue to experience a high volume of traffic during school dismissal. Panorama Hills School is participating in the Active Transportation residency with Ever Active, which will promote walking, biking and wheeling to school when possible

When communities work together to request traffic calming measures, the city often responds with additional support like traffic calming, speed education, and bike and safety education when they have received enough submissions. If you would like to report a concern or make a request for permanent traffic calming measures to be strategically placed around the school crosswalks, then please follow these steps:
