Dear PHS Families,

We are excited to share some opportunities for our upcoming Celebrations of Learning this year.  We have tried to give every student the opportunity to share and/or perform.  Our students in Grades 2and 3 will start off our celebrations next month on the evening of December 14th.  More information will be coming but we ask that you save the date.

Ever Active Schools – Active Transportation

Students are commencing their active schools residency by completing some research and we need your help! As part of their data collection, they created a Family Travel Survey to gain a better understanding of active travel in our school community. Please help our students by completing the following survey:

Morning Entry

As our mornings become cooler our doors at the south and north ends remain monitored and opened by a staff member.  We will not be holding the doors wide open for the duration of flexible entry as we are trying to keep the classroom warm for our students.  Rest assured, there will always be a staff member who will open the door when students come up the steps. If students arrive after 8:10am, please send them to the main office doors for entry.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Conference bookings have begun and we encourage all families to attend.  This is the time of year we sit down and look at students' strengths and areas needed for growth.  We set goals, look at next steps and filling any gaps.  This is an important time to engage in conversations with your child’s teacher as we work together for success in learning. Please follow this link to schedule a conference or manage your booking.  If you can only attend virtually, please let your teacher know and they can send you a link.

Have a wonderful week ahead and we look forward to seeing you at conferences.
