No School for Students Friday, May 15 & Monday May 18
Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday, May 15 as it is a Non-Instructional Day and on Monday, May 18, which is Victoria Day. Enjoy the extra-long weekend.
Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms, grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, and special women in our school community! Thank you for the love, care, encouragement, and support you give to our students each and every day. Your kindness, strength, and dedication make a lasting difference in the lives of children and in our school community. We hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and special moments with your family.
CNG Band Performance
On Music Monday, the CNG Band Students visited our school and gave a fantastic band performance for our students. Their talent, energy, and enthusiasm created an exciting experience for everyone. Thank you to the CNG Band students and staff for sharing their love of music with us!
Kindergarten Assembly
Our morning kindergarten students did a wonderful job at today’s assembly themed around protecting the environment. Students shared important messages about caring for our Earth with confidence and enthusiasm. Thank you to the teachers, students, and staff for all the time and effort put into preparing this meaningful presentation. We would also like to thank all the parents and family members who came to watch and support our students today.
Safety Drills
On Wednesday, we held a school-wide fire drill. Our students and staff took the drill very seriously, just as if it were the real thing. Everyone exited the building quickly and the whole procedure was quite efficient. We are required to complete 6 of these evacuation drills each year. This was the fifth. On Monday, some bus students will participate in a bus evacuation drill with Southland Transportation. These drills help students learn how to respond safely, calmly, and responsibly during emergency situations. Thank you to our students, staff, and our bus driver for helping make these important safety learning opportunities successful.
