🐾 Principal’s Message
The weather for the first week of February has been fantastic! This has provided a great opportunity for families to walk to school, which has also helped with before-school traffic. When dropping your children off at the “Hug and Go,” don’t forget to say hello to Mr. Tang if you get a chance, as he directs the flow of traffic.
A reminder to all families about the Read-A-Thon: students should be reading and recording their efforts for prizes at the end of the month! Each student will have brought home:
- A Read-A-Thon instruction sheet
- A Reader Tracking Form to record daily reading (at least 20 minutes per day)
- A Sponsorship Form for pledges
Ask your children about the great prizes they can win for themselves and their classrooms – it’s going to be a lot of fun!
🎨 February Feature: Grade 3 Student Art Inspired by Radiant Child
For the month of February, our front foyer display case showcases Grade 3 student artwork inspired by Radiant Child by Javaka Steptoe. This mentor's text explores the life and art of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
In recognition of Black History Month, students learned about Basquiat’s powerful use of color, symbolism, and expressive lines. They explored how his art celebrates identity, creativity, and the stories that shape us.
We invite you to stop by the display case to enjoy their vibrant and thoughtful creations.

We are excited to share that yearbooks for the 2025–2026 school year are now available for purchase! Our yearbook is a wonderful keepsake that captures special memories from throughout the school year, including classroom moments, residencies, and school events. Ordering Information:
