Year End Message
As we reflect on the 2025–2026 school year at Panorama Hills School, we are filled with pride and gratitude for all that our students, staff, and families have accomplished together. This year has been one of growth, learning, creativity, and connection. Throughout the year, our students demonstrated curiosity, perseverance, and kindness as they embraced new opportunities and challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Panorama Hills School continues to be a place where students are encouraged to learn, belong, and thrive, and this year was no exception.
There were many memorable experiences that enriched learning and strengthened our school community. One highlight was our drumming sessions with the Indigenous Artist Chantal Chagnon from Cree8, which provided students with meaningful opportunities to deepen their understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture and traditions through music, storytelling, and shared experiences. Students also enjoyed the Three Left Feet dance residency, where they explored movement, creativity, and collaboration, and the Trickster Theatre residency, during which students worked together to create and perform skits centered around the important theme of belonging. It was inspiring to see students build confidence, teamwork, and creativity through these unique learning experiences.
Our students also had the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom through a variety of exciting field trips. Classes visited places such as the zoo, the public library, TELUS Spark, Heritage Park and Outdoor School at Camp Riveredge for our grade 5 students. These experiences allowed students to engage in hands-on learning and enhanced the curriculum.
This year also brought some changes to our school community, including welcoming new staff members and having a new principal for part of the year. We also had a disruption from school during the teacher's strike in October. Through these transitions, our school community demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and support for one another. The dedication and commitment shown by our students, staff, and families helped ensure that Panorama Hills School remained a positive and caring place for everyone.
As the school year comes to a close, we would like to thank all members of our school community for their hard work, enthusiasm, and ongoing commitment to learning. Together, you have helped make Panorama Hills School a wonderful place to learn, grow, and belong. We wish all our students and families a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer and look forward to the opportunities and adventures that next year will bring!
Staffing Updates
As the school year comes to a close, we would like to wish our departing staff all the very best in their next chapters.
Thank you to Ms. Leung-Chow and Ms. Umar for your contributions to our school community. We wish you every success and happiness in your new schools.
Congratulations to Ms. Grant on her retirement! Thank you for your years of dedication and service to students and families. We wish you a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement filled with many wonderful new memories.
Grade 5 Farewell
It has been a joy to watch our grade 5 students grow into kind, responsible, and confident leaders. We are so proud of all that you have accomplished and know you are ready for the exciting journey ahead.
To our families, thank you for your partnership and support over the years.
Congratulations, Grade 5! We wish you all the best in middle school. We will miss you, and remember, you will always be part of our school family.
Important Dates and Information for Next Year
All classes begin on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Kindergarten will start with staggered entry, please refer to the email you received for your schedule.
The school office is open to parents on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and Friday, August 28, 2026, from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
Please watch for an email from your child’s teacher last week of August with back-to-school information.
